Balance Seat (Spot) Admission (for residual seats)
Who are eligible?
(a) Students who had applied but did not get selected OR selected but could not able to take
a d mission in any college during normal period of e-Admission due to various reasons.
(b) Those who have taken admission against their lower option college/stream but want to
go for their higher option college/stream.
N.B: Selection of candidates shall be made only on the basis of merit.

  • Eligible candidates’ list (5 times of the vacancy) will be published in the website on the predetermined date.
  • The interested applicants out of the list published have to register their names on the predetermined date, up to 2:00 PM at the Destination Colleges. Sample registration format is given at Annexure-9.
  • Depending upon the number of vacant seats, a merit list of the registered applicants shall be displayed on the College Notice Boards by 05:00 PM on the same date.
  • Next day, admission will take place at the destination college as per the procedures outlined above (8.1.1 to 8.1.6).

Admission after Publication of Supplementary / Instant Results by BSE (Odisha)
Who are eligible?
  1. Students who have passed in the supplementary / instant examination conducted by BSE, Odisha
  2. Students who could not able to apply online during normal admission period.
  3. Students who had applied but did not get selected OR selected but could not able to take admission in any college during normal period of e-Admission due to various reasons.
  • The vacant seats after all above admissions will be filled up by the respective colleges, by inviting fresh applications at college level within 7 days from Supplementary result date.
  • Respective colleges will notify the vacant seats in their notice boards and in the website of Higher Education Department www.dheodisha.gov.in
  • Interested applicants can buy the CAF by paying Rs. 10/- at the college counter or download the same from the website www.dheodisha.gov.in. Then s/he has to fill up the CAF manually and submit it along with the relevant documents and requisite fees at the college, where s/he wants to take admission under receipt. The receipt would contain Money-Receipt-cum-Index Number.
  • These CAFs will be assigned the next Money Receipt-cum-Index Number available after the normal CAF receipt period for that particular year.
  • The information given in these CAFs shall be entered in the e-Space (Pre-Admission Tab) by the Data Entry Operator of the college to generate Bar Coded CAFs. These Bar Coded CAFs shall be tagged and validated as usual. No fees shall be collected from the applicant for the data entry of her/his CAF into e-Space.
  • The colleges will do the selection as per the procedures defined in this CP and publish the merit list on the college notice board. The intimation letters shall be sent to the selected applicants in the self addressed envelopes furnished by them during the submission of CAFs. The entire admission process shall be completed within 20 days from the date of publication of Supplementary / Instant Results conducted by BSE, Odisha (including Holidays).
